Detailed description of Histograms for VMEDAQ build 1949.

General

Event Size

Distribution of event data size, 32-bit words. Displayed also on RUN tab.

Burst Size History

Evolution of number of events in burst. Number of events in current burst is displayed as bin 0, in previous burst - as bin 1, etc.

Debug histogram

DCH, DCH2 (Drift Chambers)

DCH window counts

Number of pulses vs. time window, all events accumulated

DCH channels

* Number of pulses vs. readout channel

DCH mapped channels

Number of pulses vs. DCH channel

DCH cards

* Number of pulses vs. readout cards

Trigger

Trigger input count (all)

Direct count of input pulses, including dead time

Trigger bits

Input pulse count that give the trigger condition (readout data, not counted in dead time)

Trigger states

Trigger logic state counts (readout data, not counted in dead time)

Event Distance, us

Time between adjacent events in microseconds

TDC Hits by Channel

Number of hits vs. channel number

TDC Input Counts by Channel

TDC RAW Time

* Hit timestamp in bins. Bit resolution depends on setup.

TDC Time, ns

Hit timestamp in nanoseconds. Hit timestamp is relative to trigger coarse time (25 ns step)

TDC Start-0 Stop-All Time, ns

First hit in channel 0 is used for common start, all other hits are used for stop. Start-Stop time is measured in nanoseconds.

TDC Pulse Width, ns

Pulse width in nanoseconds, available in Pair mode only

TDC Error Bits

Diagnostic bit count. For detailed description of error bits please refer to HPTDC manual.

Number of time measurements in event

TQDC NHits Q

Number of charge measurements in event

TQDC NHits T - NHits Q, != 0

Difference in number of time and charge measurements. Large value (compared to NHits) is a signal of lost measurements due to overflow.

Time difference distribution between first and second pulses on any channel found in single event. Useful for two-channel lab measurements

* Distribution of Lower 5 bits of hit raw timestamp, used for HPTDC DLL tap calibration

TQDC RC Time

* HPTDC RC delay calibration, Very High Resolution (25 ps) mode only
